Every Child TN

Abby Chapman
Project Coordinator, Every Child TN
Abby Chapman is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and families through collaboration and community partnership, with professional experience spanning nonprofit development, child welfare, and international education. A Nashville, Tennessee native, her work focuses on strengthening systems and relationships that help families and communities flourish.
She previously served with the Department of Children’s Services in Davidson County, working in child protection and family preservation and gaining firsthand insight into the complexities of the child welfare system. Abby also taught preschool at a medical and special needs care center in China, working closely with children from hard places and deepening her commitment to trauma-informed care. She later worked in faith-based nonprofit development, building partnerships and supporting programs serving children and families. These experiences led naturally into her current role with Every Child TN, where she collaborates with churches and community partners to strengthen care for children and families across Tennessee.
As an adoptive sister and a Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) practitioner, Abby brings both personal experience and professional expertise to her work with children and families. Motivated by a lifelong commitment to supporting children, she works to ensure that every child in Tennessee has the opportunity to flourish within their families and communities.
