Shelbi Ball recently served as a Grants and Partnerships Specialist at AncoraTN, a nonprofit organization that empowers survivors of human trafficking and advocates for systemic change. She joined the organization in 2020 as a Development Intern and quickly progressed to become a Grants Writer, Office Manager, and now a Grants and Partnerships Specialist, thanks to her excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

With a BA in English from Union University, where she was a valedictorian and a student research assistant, Shelbi is passionate about expressing big ideas with clarity and brevity. She has written and secured multiple grants for AncoraTN, totaling over $1 million in funding, and has managed the grant reporting and acknowledgment process with efficiency and accuracy. She also values the power of collaboration and works with various internal and external partners to build lasting solutions and solve tough problems. As a native Tennessean, she is committed to building better social systems where everyone gets a chance to thrive.
