Content Manager (Contractor)
Position: Content Manager (Contractor) at the TN Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative
Supervisor: Senior Advisor, Communications & Strategy
Role: Part-Time Contractor
Location: Middle Tennessee
Start Date: Immediately
The Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative is looking to contract a Content Manager to provide social, design, and video support for two initiatives Every Child TN (foster care) and Volunteer Mentorship Initiative (re-entry). This will be a part-time (15-hours a week) contractor role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Social Content Creation
- Create and manage a monthly social content calendar for LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram posts and stories.
- Identify existing content for social posts and stories.
- Design posts and stories using photos, videos, and graphics.
- Craft copy for social posts and stories with the oversight of the Sr. Advisor of Communications and Strategy.
- Utilize and adapt existing designed templates and style.
Monthly Email Creation
- Identify ten stories a month from the GFBCI team and initiatives to be featured on the monthly Tenn In Ten email to our community members.
- Create ten (10) high quality stories with photos, video links, graphics, and copy to share the highlights from the month.
- Publish email and track analytics with weekly reporting to the Sr. Advisor of Communications and Strategy.
Social Video Capture and Editing
- Onsite Events: Attend occasional events or gatherings to capture social video for key gatherings and initiative focused events.
- Edit quality social video using photos, video, graphics, and copy for publishing across social platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
- Organize and track all assets, copy and media in Dropbox.
Required Skills and Qualification
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to capture compelling content
- Strong social design and video editing skills
- Experience managing social platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Canva, CapCut, social platforms, iPhone videos and photos
- Basic Hubspot understanding
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree in related field
